Community Service

Woodland partners with several local organizations to serve our communities. Below are a few of our current opportunities!

Saturday Night Supper

NOTE: Saturday Night Supper is on pause for January 2023. Check back here for updates.

Saturday Night Supper is a cooperative mission of six area organizations, Midtown Fellowship, Eastminster Presbyterian, City Church, Woodland Presbyterian, Yoga Shala Nashville, and Boy Scout Troupe 3. Every Saturday night from 5:15 to 6:30 PM one of these groups gather to serve hungry people in our community. Woodland serves on 3rd and 5th Sundays.

If you are interested in volunteering, sign up here, or please contact Barbara Fay.

Volunteers are needed at the following times at the East Thompson Lane Location. Please contact Mark DeVries if you are interested in serving at the food bank.

  • Tuesdays, 4:30 – 7:30 pm (distributing to families)
  • Thursdays, 10:30 am – 2 pm (unloading the truck)
  • Saturdays, 11:30 am – 3:30 pm  (distributing to families)

Pride Committee

We will be assembling a team to help prepare for the Nashville Pride Parade in June 2023. Woodland has historically come together with other More Light congregations to march in the annual parade. We’re excited to be able to represent again this year in the summer! More to come in the coming months.
