Advent 2021

Woodland is excited to offer a variety of worship, learning, and service opportunities this year during Advent! Read on to learn how you can be involved in our community during this special season.

Sign up for Advent small groups!

Join an Advent Small Group to dig deep into the Christmas story this year! Groups start on November 28th (9:30 am at Woodland) and December 1st (6 pm on Zoom) and will be using the theme “Close to Home,” incorporating materials by A Sanctified Art. Contact Adrian with any questions at adrian@woodlandnash.org.

Join us for special services

On December 21st at 6 pm, Woodland will hold a Longest Night service. This special service is a chance to make space for the feelings of grief and loss that we may be holding at this time of year.

On December 24th, join us for a Christmas Eve candlelight service as we await Jesus’ birth together. Both services will offered in a hybrid format!

Reverse Advent Calendar to support Matthew 25 Food Bank

As you travel through advent, take a moment each day to center gratitude and generosity. From December 1 through 24th, add a pantry staple to a box each day. Bring your box to the church on December 24th or 26th and we will donate it to the Matthew 25 Food Bank! Below is a suggested list of staples that clients need most.

Volunteer at Saturday Night Supper on December 18 and December 25

Spread Christmas cheer as a Saturday Night Supper server or cook! Your help will make it possible to provide a hot meal to our neighbors in need. Contact Barbara Fay at b_a_fay@yahoo.com or 615-594-7583 with any questions.
